(ARA) - With a busy family, hectic work schedule and decisions to be made daily on a variety of topics and issues, one thing the average person does not want to struggle over is where to vacation to get some rest.
(ARA) - Summertime is a great time for a vacation. Everyone looks forward to the annual family outing when you pack up the family and head for the car, airplane, train or bus and take that getaway you have been waiting for all year long.
(ARA) - Are you looking to embark on a summer family vacation that won't break the bank? Whether it's heading to an amusement park or road tripping across the country, there are simple ways to spend within your means by making informed, cost-conscious decisions while on the road.
(ARA) - We all look forward to vacations -- the precious time to recharge our batteries and spend care-free days and fun-filled nights with family and friends. But visions of vacations may change this year with a recession looming, rising gas prices and basics like food and housing at a premium.
People kept asking me just before and during my vacation to Ireland if I was making the trip to connect with my family roots. The answer was, well, sort of. It was not my purpose to dig into the Moore family history in Ireland, though I know there was a Moore clan somewhere in those soggy bogs and rocky hills centuries ago.
DRACUT -- Last August, an estimated 750 people and 12 local bands turned out for "Rockin' for KPM," a daylong music event that raised $9,000 to aid the family of triplets Kyle, Patrick and the late Matthew Wilkins, of Chelmsford, in their struggles with Becker's muscular dystrophy.
It was summer, but it was no vacation for these high school athletes, many of whom crisscrossed the state (and the world) as they trained and competed.
